howdy! my name's kev, but you might best know me as regal (oni). i also go by juno, newt, and judas in online/game spaces! i primarily go by they/them pronouns, but i'm comfortable with any. i'm a 25-year old autistic ecosystem and community ecologist and digital artist!

my research interests lie primarily in plant ecology with a particular focus on the unsung heroes of the environment: moss! visit my shrine for more general info on moss, their importance, my research, and suggested readings!

my special interest is pokémon, so my art is currently focused on fakemon art, but i also have oc content and other fanworks (check out the gallery for more of my stuff)! my current major project is the development of a fakemon region based the californias with some inspirations taken from texas and alaska! check out the nostos region project page for more info!

my biggest interest and source of inspiration, if it wasn't already glaringly obvious, is pokémon! my favorite pokémon games are pokémon black 2 and white 2 and pokémon scarlet and violet, and if it wasn't even more glaringly obvious, my favorite pokémon is clefairy! more generally, i love hyperpop, punk, and metal music, and my favorite bands ever are 100 gecs and my chemical romance. outside of music, i'm a big fan of horror and sci-fi, and my favorite films are godzilla minus one, jurassic park, and john carpenter's the thing!
